Our 1500W heater controller allows you to increase and decrease the heat output of internal heating elements, hotplates, and band heaters without the issues caused by thermostatic control, such as cycling. This allows you to run at maximum power during the heat-up process, and then reduce the heat for production. No wiring is necessary- just plug in your heater and go!

  • 110V
  • 1500W
  • Includes aluminum heat sink to help disperse heat generated by power reduction controllers

  • Never leave heater controller unattended, just as you would never leave a running still unattended. If excessive heat is generated, unplug controller from power source immediately.

    Pay attention.

I have had this product for about a 6 weeks and have used it 5 times. The first times I used the controler it ran wonderfully. I have it connected to my 1500 watt heating element. It stayed cool when running it in full mode and warmed up to about 110 degrees or so when cutting back the power. This last time I used it I had run it on full power for about 2 hours then turned it down to about 3/4 power. It ran for about an hour like that. Then I started smelling something hot. With in minuets there was a pop. I checked the temp wth an infrared thermometer and it was over 200 degrees and the fuse holder was melting out of it but the fuse did not pop. Mine may have been a fluke. But when it comes to this stuff just make sure you are checking it once and a while. Be safe.

    Great but no instructions

I used this for the first time yesterday, and while it's a great product - it did not come with any instructions. It can operate in either Full Power or Variable mode, but i wasn't sure when to use which setting, or if it should only be at one setting for the entire time. Thankfully, i think i figured it out - but some instructions on use would have been/would still be a very welcome addition to the controller.

    Does the job

I use this unit to control my band heater. In variable mode it gets very hot so I aim a fan on it. No heat in full power mode. I've used it dozens of times so far with no problems. It is essential to modulate power along with water flow when running in reflux mode on the PSII.
