If I decideded to power the controller with 220vac is there any modifications that need to be done to the controller ?
And if powered by 220vac will the 1500w stainless steel cartridge heater be ok
Thanks
John

You would just need to replace the plug on the power cord to a 220V plug in order to run 220V in, but our 1500W heater is 110V, so if you run it on 220V you will burn it out.

SharleneApr 15, 2021, 12:00 AMUpdated review. After using this unit several times the concern I had on my original review went away. I was unable to update my prior review. The unit now adjusts the full range of voltage. Great product.

SharleneApr 8, 2021, 12:00 AMNicely packaged controller . This is a very nicely packaged controller. And the ability to use this in both voltages is a big plus. The potentiometer on the unit I received does not give me much adjustability in the mid voltage range. It provides about 20% in the upper snd lower range only. I am rating this average because of this. That said, I have been unsuccessful finding good potentiometers for the ones I built at home. And this unit looks a whole lot better than my hand made versions!!

JoeFeb 1, 2021, 12:00 AMA great buy. Just used this on the Essential Extractor Pro Series II in pot still mode with one 1500W band heater. Once heated up, I dialed the power down and it held rock solid. I was very impressed how it dissipated the heat for something this compact. You can easily hold it in your hand, not too hot at all. The output indicator seems quite accurate enough too as I checked it with a multimeter. This was a good value, very pleased with it.

RichardAug 11, 2020, 12:00 AMBrewhaus Heater Controller. Arrived quickly. Works perfectly. Gets warm but doesn't overheat. Only change I'd make would be a larger heat sink.
