Prestige Absinthe Pro TF Essence- White

Absinthe White is not colored and is perfectly balanced. It contains all of the classical herbs and louches beatifully.

Prestige Absinthe Pro TF series, when combined with our Wormwood Schnapps / Besk essence, is the pinnacle of Absinthe making. Over 20 different herbs are used to produce the Absinthe Pro TF essence, resulting in a liquor that will rival the traditional Absinthe of long ago.

20ml Bottle

Instructions: Pour the contents of this bottle and 75g granulated sugar into a 750ml (US 25 fl. oz.) bottle. Fill 3/4 full with 140 proof vodka and shake until the sugar has dissolved. 20003102 Absinthe Pro TF Essence- White

Posted by Slim Bruce on Oct 6th 2012

I'm disappointed. This absinthe tastes strongly of anise -- now I love anise in liqueur: raki, 'araq, ouzo, what have you, and have often fabricated my own using anise oil (anethol). But this essence doesn't seem to me to have other flavors or complexity. My previous experience with absinthe was a bottle an old girlfriend brought me from Lisbon, years ago, when Portugal was one of the few countries where absinthe was legal. It was yellow, had complex flavoring (I guess from the wormwood and other herbs), and only a slight flavor of anise. Oh yes, and it *louched* -- so does this Absinthe Pro TF Essence. This one just isn't very interesting.

    Wonder and amaze

This essence is wonderfully simple, mix with Besk (white) and shake into vodka. No sugar again with this kit making it as easy as it comes to whip up a batch for guests. The uncolored variety has several flavor variations from the blue or the orange essences. Enjoy the color changes as the sugar cube melts into the glass with water pulling out the essential oils from solution clouding the once clear liquid into a murky aromatic wonder. Enjoy with company
