Prestige Yellow French Pastis Essence. The distinct licorice flavour of the anise-based Pastis has been a French favourite for 200 years both as a before-dinner beverage that stimulates the appetite and a zestful cooking ingredient.

Excellent clone - one of the best. This is an excellent approximation of Pernod and Ricard. I was first introduced to this many years ago by numerous friends living in France who drank Pastis made from diluted overproof alcohol and essence for a very economical aperitif. I prefer the taste when the suggested sugar addition is cut to 15g (1/2oz)

Fairly Good Viz. The Real Stuff. Kind of pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much. I've tasted both Pernod and Ricard Pastises. This essence is quite fairly close to the real stuff. Actually kinda not bad. Worth at least an experiment. I am not an expert food taster or anything.
