The Keg Kit for our Essential Extractor PSII High Capacity Distiller includes all of the items in our Complete Unit, with a Keg Adapter (including clamp and o-ring for keg) in place of our kettle. The high-capacity column is 3" in diameter, allowing you to distill at more than twice the speed of standard 2" distillation columns while maintaining the highest possible purity.

Brewhaus' Essential Extractor Pro Series II High Capacity column features a unique 2-piece design that enables the distiller to perform either pot distillation or reflux distillation. Use the full-length, 2-piece column for reflux mode (e.g., fuel alcohol, vodka), or just use one column section for pot mode (e.g., essential oils, whisky, water).

About the Pro Series' Cooling System:
By placing the cooling lines near the top of the distillation column, reflux is created where it is intended- at the top of the tower. This allows for the most effective use of the column filling by causing the refluxed liquid to flow down through it, resulting in a cleaner distillate. Crossing the cooling lines instead of leaving them parallel results in a much more efficient cooling system, requiring less cooling water while maintaining effectiveness. And, by having the cooling system in direct contact with the rising vapor you achieve a far more efficient and effective cooling than systems that surround a column with a cooling water jacket. The slow heat transfer rate through the thick column wall is much less efficient, and concentrates all of the cooling ability around the outside of the distiller column. The result of jacketed columns is liquid channeling down the walls of the column, while not cooling the majority of the vapor as it is not in contact with the column wall. While such a system may operate faster, it is at the expense of quality. Learn more about the design of this forced reflux still here.

    Quality Takes time

Posted by estaban on Apr 24th 2013

I just received my product last week and did my first run yesterday. This is a high quality piece of work and product was great. I will admit that I was frustrated with the time it took to arrive, but Rick was wonderful about responding to my emails and being honest about delays. I am looking forward to enjoying my new hobby.

    Still Waiting

Posted by Heath on Mar 27th 2013

Placed my order 30 business days ago when it was stated "20-25 business days till ship" 30 days and still hasn't shipped. Called and basically got an "Oh well, what you want me to do about it? We have a lot of orders ahead of you." Really? I'm sure this is a great product if I EVER receive it but so far Customer Service sucks.

Just received my pro series ll high cap column, this thing is a work of art. I haven't had the pleasure of using it yet... but felt the need to say to Brewhaus that the description of this column and pictures doesn't do it justice. It is by far the most professional and quality driven product I have seen yet. I am very happy with the purchase I have made, and your staff that made contact with me via e-mail and by phone were very professional.

    A good product

Posted by Jerry on Nov 2nd 2010

This unit worked great for me,but on a 15.5 gallon keg it came out a little tall and very hard to get heated up,I am sure it would work even better on a smaller keg. For my first atempt I only got 87% but had problems with my heat source.I am very pleased, and am sure to do better next time. The turbo 48 really inpressed me. I am definately going to invest in a Brewhaus Pot and 1500w heater. Thanks
