Their larger diameter helps prevent compaction and channeling, ensuring consistent filtration while removing unwanted impurities and off-notes. Ideal for polishing high-purity reflux spirits before flavoring or aging.
Usage:
Use 0.6-0.9 oz per quart of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 110 proof (55% ABV) before carbon treatment, as higher alcohol strengths can reduce the effectiveness of the carbon. For best results, maintain even packing and a consistent flow rate through the filter column.
