The Essential Extractor Pro Series II Keg Kit includes all of the items in our Complete Unit, except for the kettle. It comes with an O-ring to connect it to a US, standard-sized beer keg. This versatile column is 2″ in diameter and can be run in pot distillation mode (for making moonshine, whisky, brandy, rum, schnapps, water and essential oils) or reflux distillation mode (for distilling fuel alcohol or a high-proof, neutral spirit such as vodka).
The full-sized, 2-piece column is used for reflux distillation. For pot distillation, only the top section of the column is used, connecting it directly to your pot, kettle, or beer keg. This complete distillation unit that can be used as a moonshine still, alcohol still, essential oil still, and more. Choose between Ceramic Raschig Rings or Copper Mesh for your column packing, based on your desired output.
About the Pro Series’ Cooling System:
Brewhaus’ Essential Extractor series columns were all designed by Rick Morris, author of “The Joy of Home Distilling”. He chose to place the cooling lines near the top of the distillation column in order to create reflux where it is intended, at the top of the tower. This allows for the most effective use of the column filling by causing the refluxed liquid to flow down through it, resulting in a cleaner distillate. Crossing the cooling lines instead of leaving them parallel results in a much more efficient cooling system, requiring less cooling water while maintaining effectiveness. And, by having the cooling system in direct contact with the rising vapor you achieve a far more efficient and effective cooling than systems that surround a column with a cooling water jacket. The slow heat transfer rate through the thick column wall is much less efficient, and concentrates all of the cooling ability around the outside of the column. The result of jacketed columns is liquid channeling down the walls of the column, while not cooling the majority of the vapor as it is not in contact with the column wall. Recommendations:
- For column packing, choose the ceramic raschig rings for distilling water or essential oils, and copper mesh for distilling alcohol.
- If you don’t want a bung, choose the Wireless Digital Thermometer for your thermometer upgrade (above). It comes with an end cap & 1/2″ coupling that the thermometer screws into at the top of the column, so no bung at all!

Awesome piece of equipment!. I purchased the Essential Extractor PSII Column and use it with a 15.5 gallon keg. The hookup clamp makes connection to the keg very easy. No welding etc, just clamp the column to the keg lip after removing the keg ball and column inside. Steel is very high quality and all welds are extremely smooth. A true piece of work. You can release the center clamp and use just the top section as a pot still or use the entire 3 foot section for reflux distillation. Easily add rings through the top, place a copper scrubber at the top under the cooling tubes, and you are at a minimum 85-90% product. Forget all the money for piecing a column together! Buy this column and place on a Sanke keg or pony keg and have a professional level machine. Cooling tubes take 1/2 inch inside diameter vinyl tubing for cooling water runs. Brewhaus has a winner and a very very high quality, reliable, and high output product with this one!

Awesome.. Just awesome!. This still head is awesome! I am very happy with my purchase.It fit right on my Sankey Keg with the included O-Ring.I picked up the hose pack as well and it’s working like a dream, and looks great too!! Works Great!!!!!. I just finished running 5 (17 gal)kegs of mash yesterday. It worked great. I am however ordering the Stainless Steel Filter System for the 2" diameter x 37" tall filter column, bring the height to over 6ft! (not so much because it will improve performance (I’m hopping it will do that to) but because it will look cool!!!!! Again Very please with this product and is nicer and less expensive than making it myself, VERY HIGH QUALITY!! I strongly recommend this product!!!

Its excellent head cooling design makes it a great upgrade. I went from the 2 inch column to the 3 inch unit with the improved head cooling design. Usually someone buying this unit knows what he wants.

Very good product. After 18 month i am glad of my purchase, solid product. Only wish the pipe of the condenser had a little less angle, on a 15 gal keg the end drip 2″ from the barrel.
