Made from high-quality steam-activated coconut shell carbon, these 12 x 40 mesh chips are designed for effective spirit polishing with low dust and excellent surface area. They help reduce unwanted impurities and off-notes, producing a cleaner, smoother spirit before flavoring or aging.
Usage:
Use 0.6-0.9 oz per quart of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 110 proof (55% ABV) before carbon treatment, as higher alcohol strengths can reduce the effectiveness of the carbon. For best results, stir or circulate occasionally to maximize contact time.
