Made from high-quality steam-activated activated carbon, these 1.0 mm chips are a premium all-purpose filtration media designed to polish distilled spirits. Their broad pore structure effectively removes unwanted impurities and off-notes while delivering excellent absorption with minimal dust. Suitable for a wide range of spirits, they help produce a cleaner, smoother finish before flavoring or aging.
Usage:
Use 0.6-0.9 oz per quart of diluted spirit. Always ensure the spirit is below 110 proof (55% ABV) before carbon treatment, as higher alcohol strengths can reduce the effectiveness of the carbon. For best results, allow adequate contact time and stir or circulate occasionally during treatment.
